What is the Pomodoro technique?

The Pomodoro technique is a way to manage your time. You work in blocks of 25 minutes. Each block is a Pomodoro.

Between the blocks, you take a short break of 5 minutes. After four blocks, you take a long break.

Francesco Cirillo made the method in the late 1980s. Pomodoro is the Italian word for tomato. He used a kitchen timer in the shape of a tomato.

About this timer

The timer runs in your browser. It reads the clock of your device. So the time stays right when the tab is in the background.

The title of the tab shows the time left while the timer runs. You can see it when you work in another tab.

The page saves your settings and the count of your focus sessions in this browser only. It sends nothing to a server.
